Not Your Typical Dad Bike

Not Your Typical Dad Bike

When I had the idea of building a dad bike, I hoped my son Ronan would enjoy but you never know with kids. I knew Robbie was the person to talk to. The build itself came out way more rad than I ever imagined, so either way, I was pumped!  Now that the bike was built, I talked to our friend Jorge that had an extra kid seat which he wasn’t using, and I grabbed it to see if Ronan would be into it. From the second he saw it, he was super hyped, helping me with the installation and pointing to the road. At that moment I knew that was my kid!

We did a quick test ride to make sure it was safe (probably should’ve done it without him in the seat but nobody’s perfect) and when we got home all he said was “¡Mas!” [more!] so it seemed like a hit. I waited for the sun to go down a bit and took him to a park near our house so he could run around. We get to the park and I can’t remember the last time this kid was this full of joy! Poor guy hadn’t been to a park since March 8th, 2020 and was so excited to run around and climb all the things. I’m so damn happy with this cool damn dad bike and I can’t wait for all the memories we’re going to make together!
